Bio

Yury Nikogosov is a cinematographer with a strong background in storytelling and visual artistry. Originally from Moscow, he graduated from VGIK Film University in 2010 and has since worked on a wide range of projects, including feature films, TV series, commercials, and music videos.

Over the years, Yury has collaborated with respected directors and contributed to award-winning projects like the series “The Chicks” and the film “Son of a Rich” (“Kholop”, 2019), which became the highest-grossing Russian movie. He has also worked extensively with renowned director Vadim Perelman, whose film “The House of Sand and Fog” earned him an Academy Award nomination. Together, they created several notable works, including the TV series “Affairs” (“Izmeny”, 2015) and the film “Buy Me” (2015). Their collaborations have been marked by a deep creative synergy, resulting in visually striking and emotionally resonant work.

Yury enjoys sharing his experience, mentoring young filmmakers, and inviting them to learn on set. Now based in Los Angeles, he continues to take on diverse projects, focusing on creating meaningful and visually compelling work.
